Year 9 Assignments - two practical assignments suitable for use in year 9 text processing classes.  The first assignment is based on "McDonalds" (11 pages) and the second on "Animals" (12 pages), ensuring the topics are interesting and relevant to students.  Model answers and marking schedules are included.

Year 10 Assignments - "Time" and "Travel" - two practical assignments suitable for use in year 10 text processing classes.  The first assignment is based on "Time" (14 pages) and the second on "Travel" (15 pages), assessing skills relevant to this curriculum area.  Model answers and marking schedules are included.

Year 10 NCEA Resources  (Each resource $56 for a CD or email copy and $64 for a paper copy with CD)
Each of the following resources are designed to prepare students for NCEA, introducing the techniques of “plan, design and create” as required for the level 1-3 achievement standards.  Each resource has a project with specific instructions, answers and judgements, using standards based assessment.

                                    Year 10 NCEA Resource #1 – “Create a Web Page”
                                    Year 10 NCEA Resource #2 – “Create a Newspaper”
                                    Year 10 NCEA Resource #3 – “Plan a Powerpoint Project”

Year 10 TIM Assignment - Based on cartoons, the assignment includes work on word processing, desktop publishing, charts and spreadsheets (11 pages).  Disk copy is on Word and Excel.

Bookmark assessment – a Junior Technology project covering Technological principles for ICT students.  
- planning, investigation, selection and design concepts
A student guide to introduce technological principles to create a double-sided bookmark. 

Chocolate Box design project – a Junior Technology project covering Technological principles for ICT students.
Container for chocolates from a given brief.
This assignment includes concepts of planning, investigation, selection and design to create an original 3 dimensional shape, which is eye-catching and demonstrates effective use of font, colour, images etc.  A suggested outcome is included with this project.

Year 11 TIM Exam/Assignment#1 - Based on holidays, the assignment includes work on word processing, graphs, graphics and spreadsheets.  It could be used to assess problem solving and design/composition tasks (14 pages).  Disk copy is on Word and Excel.  

Year 11 TIM Exam/Assignment#2 - Based on the theme 'fishing', the exam or assignment contains editing from a retrieved document, a duplicated form, creative display in the form of an advertisement, pie graphs from a spreadsheet, creation of a table and sorting it, and composition.  The marking schedule has both percentage and graded formats available.  The disk copy is on Word and Excel.  (14 pages) 

Year 11 TIM Exam/Assignment#3 - Skills include editing, communication, numeracy, problem solving and design.  A comprehensive marking schedule is included which consists of a combination of TIM skills assessment and percentage based mark.  (17 pages)   

Year 11 TIM Exam/Assignment#4 - This assessment uses the theme Dolphins and includes a variety of skills assessments.  Tasks include editing, design application, composition and production of work. (15 pages)    

SADD Practical Assignment - Word or another desktop publishing package can be used for this practical assessment based on the theme Students Against Drunk Driving.  It will take about 4 hours and comes complete with model answers (16 pages).

Profile Practical Assignment - This practical assignment takes about 4 hours and is based on career choices and job applications. (12 pages)

Senior Information Technology Assessment - Based on the theme "travel", students select a country of their choice and complete a range of technological tasks that include the use of a scanner, writing spreadsheets, designing layouts and internet research. 

Senior Business Assignment - This 8 hour practical assignment is designed for senior Typing/Word Processing/Computing/Business Administration students and includes:    (31 pages)
Section A      Document creation, including business documentation such as invoices, statements, cheque forms,
etc
Section B     Completion of forms based on set exercises and information.

Year 13 Examination/Assignment - This 2 hour exam or assignment covers advanced features of Word, including creative design along with original interpretation and display.  The assessment comes complete with possible answers and a marking schedule, along with text and graphics files for importing (15 pages).
